So what is it that you do?

StexFGiving works with charities, not-for-profit and social enterprises (Third and fourth Sectors) to realise their vision through the means of accessible, effective and tailored communication. As Founder of StexFGiving, my aim is to ensure that we are able to provide the right resources for 3rd and 4th Sector organisations to increase their outreach and increase the scale of the amazing work they do. This agency was born out of the challenges faced by smaller charities and social enterprises, which are often overshadowed by bigger charities or corporations despite the amazing efforts they make. We work tirelessly towards increasing the outreach of such charities and social enterprises.

Why did you decide to go into helping the 3rd/4th sectors?

I have been involved with the charity sector for a long time as a volunteer and/or trustee in the UK and Italy.  This experience helped me understand the variety of challenges that are addressed on a daily basis. While acting as a trustee for an amazing charity called Mision Mexico, I was exposed to the harsh reality that numerous small charities simply do not have big budgets, limiting their outreach, despite the great contribution they make to society. This experience was the root cause of founding StexFGiving. We aim to provide third and fourth sector enterprises with the right resources and communication so that they can increase the scale of their operations.

Do you think your engineering background has provided you with any advantages when setting up your own business?

My engineering background has surely been a major plus point for me. However, my major being Business Management, I was able to attain the best of both worlds. I was able to blend in the complex problem solving skills that I learnt during my engineering degree, with business acumen to make the right decisions. I was also frequently if not always involved in creative marketing jobs due to my background in design.

What are some of the common challenges 3rd/4th sector companies face?

The key issue that such organisations face is their inability to reach out to people. This is absolutely vital if they want to expand. The primary reason behind this is the lack of resources such as funds, time, expertise, volunteers, etc. Moreover, it could also be issues such as lack of structure, marketing, or technology. This is the issue we are trying to address. We want to act as a bridge between the charity/social enterprise and their goals.

Why have you chosen to settle down and start your business in London?

London is undoubtedly one of the major cities of the world. Its multicultural and vibrant environment has attracted many people to the city. I came to London thirteen years ago and absolutely fell in love with the city. Since then, I have been working with a number of companies, but my role in Mision Mexico motivated me to start my journey of StexFGiving. Having already spent time in London and being acquainted with all the resources and variety the city had to offer, I could not find a better location than London to build up my company.

Any tips for budding entrepreneurs out there?

My passion has led me to work on StexFGiving and I am loving every minute of it! Passion gives you the drive necessary to keep you focused and motivated. This will help you overcome all the obstacles you will face on your way to success.
